Special kudos go out to WCU and CofC. Both teams made the most of their nationally televised games and did very well in hostile road environments.

Men’s Bracket, Still In Progress

February 27, 2010

(EDIT: I was just informed that the coin flip rule was eliminated two seasons ago.  The final tiebreak, which I think is much fairer, is determined by which team has the higher RPI…determined by RealTimeRPI.com…BTW, as of Saturday, FU and GSU’s RPI is only separated by 4 spots)

Well, one more game left on the schedule and there are still four seeds to be determined.

In the North, #5 Samford can move up a spot if #4 UNCG loses at home to GSU.

In the South, if #6 GSU wins at UNCG, they will tie with #5 Furman.  If this happens, a coin toss will be necessary to determine the final two seeds (Furman and GSU split their season series and have identical records against each team in the South division)

Here is what we have so far…

Friday, March 5th
3S Davidson vs 6N Elon 2:00pm
4N Samford/UNCG vs 5S Furman/GSU 4:30pm
4S The Citadel vs 5N Samford/UNCG
3N Chattanooga vs 6S Furman/GSU

Saturday, March 6th
2N Western Carolina vs Davidson/Elon 2:00pm

1N Appalachian State vs The Citadel/Samford/UNCG 7:00pm
